"Camera to Competition" Workshop
Tuesday at the Club Meeting 11/18/08
Next month at our regular club meeting Tom Malinski will be putting on the program for the evening. It is titled "Camera to Competition". He will be talking and demonstrating a basic Digital Work-flow. The program will include all of the basic things you should know relating to digital picture taking, post processing, and submitting digital images for competition. This will be the clubs 1st instructional (share-learn-teach) workshop of the season and will take most of the evening.
Some of the specific topics will be:
- Digital Camera Settings and Operation
- Picture Taking tips
- Memory cards vs internal memory
- Basic Digital File Management (how and where to store your images on your PC)
- Basic Digital Editing (dust spot removal, contrast and exposure adjustments)
- Preparing your images for competition (renaming, sizing, and sharpening)
- Emailing your images (do's and dont's, that affect image quality)
